How PawFun works
Each pet is a Pump.fun coin. A share of its creator fees buys that same coin back and burns it, one meal at a time.
You launch the coin
Your wallet signs the Pump.fun create transaction, so you are the on-chain creator. PawFun pins the image and metadata to IPFS and reserves one mint address so a retry can never create a second coin.
You set a permanent fee split
A second transaction uses Pump's official fee-sharing program to split creator fees between your wallet and your pet's treasury. Once it confirms, the split is enforced on-chain. A percentage saved only in a database would not count.
Fees reach the treasury
Anyone can trigger distribution. PawFun does this automatically, before and after the coin migrates. Each receipt is recorded with its transaction signature.
The pet eats
When the treasury holds more than your minimum, the worker buys your coin. Each buy is capped by your per-meal and daily limits, cooldown, slippage, and price-impact checks, then the worker burns exactly what it bought.
Every meal is verifiable
A meal only counts after the buy confirms and the burn reduces total supply by the same amount. Every buy and burn links to Solscan.
Questions
- Who controls the treasury?
- A PawFun-managed wallet whose key is encrypted at rest. The worker can only buy the configured coin and burn it. It never sends SOL anywhere else.
- What happens after migration?
- Fee distribution keeps working through Pump. Buying on PumpSwap after migration is not enabled yet, so migrated pets show "Feeding unavailable" until it is.
- Can I change the split later?
- No. The split is written on-chain at launch. You can pause feeding or change meal limits at any time.
- Is this financial advice?
- No. Meme coins are highly risky. Burns reduce supply but do not guarantee anything about price.
